The ecological farm Mlakar, or Pr' Bcnu as it is known locally, was registered in 2004. We breed Scottish cattle, fallow deer and rabbits.

We have obtained an organic certificate, which means that our production and breeding do not use pesticides, sprays and other substances dangerous to nature. Thus, our products are not only tasty, but also healthy.

You can read the description of the animals below, and see more photos in the gallery.

The fallow deer is a representative of the deer family. The damselfly is characterized by great variability in color: from gray with characteristic white spots to completely black and white and all transitions between the two color extremes. It is also called the shoveler deer because of the shovel-shaped antlers characteristic of the species. Both sexes have a longer tail visible from afar. The deer already has noticeably longer pubic hair as a calf. A fallow deer hind is smaller than a deer. Body mass depends mainly on the environment. A fallow deer (hind deer and deer) is about half the weight of an ordinary deer. An adult male damselfish can weigh from 50 to 80 kg. The antlers are shovel-shaped, as in common deer, the upper and middle tips are developed.
They are herbivores and feed most often on grass, leaves and forest fruits, depending on the season and the available vegetation. They feed most actively in the morning and evening, at dusk.

Galloway cows are of small to medium size, with weights in the range 450–600 kg; bulls normally weigh approximately 800 kg, but may may reach weights of over 1000 kg. Heifer calves are born at a weight of some 35 kg, and reach a weight of about 250 kg at an age of thirteen or fourteen months.

Galloways have a thick double-layered coat that is wavy or curly. The coat of hair insulates their bodies so well that they have a minimal outer layer of fat on their bodies, which would otherwise create waste at slaughter. This coat sheds out in the summer months and in warmer climates.

It is naturally polled, without horns. This breed's shaggy coat has both a thick, woolly undercoat for warmth and stiffer guard hairs that help shed water, making them well adapted to harsher climates.

The European rabbit is the only species of rabbit that has been domesticated, and all 305 of the worlds rabbit breeds – from the Dutch Dwarf to the Flemish Giant – are descended from the European rabbit. Rabbits are an example of an animal that can be viewed as food, a pet, or a pest by different members of the same culture.

Domesticated rabbits have mostly been bred to be much larger than wild rabbits, although selective breeding has resulted in a range of sizes, and are kept as food and pets around the world. They differ from each other in color and size.
